About Us

MGP Technologies is fully committed to the transmission of knowledge. The company objective is to provide to our clients, high quality specialized petroleum-engineering courses at the best cost to value ratio.

Dr. Mauricio Prado worked for Petrobras from 1983 to 1999 as a Petroleum Engineer. He is a Professor of Petroleum Engineering at The University of Tulsa and the Director for the Tulsa University Artificial Lift Projects - TUALP, a joint industry academia research consortium that conducts experimental as well theoretical studies in the areas of artificial lift, multiphase flow, phase behavior and production optimization. Several oil companies and service companies support his research activities at The University of Tulsa.

Dr. Prado believes that the knowledge and results from academic research should successfully help the industry in solving practical engineering problems. Many of the subroutines, models and algorithms developed by the academia are implemented in several commercial simulators. Dr. Prado also helps the dissemination of knowledge from his research work by teaching short courses for oil and service companies as well as research and teaching institutions worldwide .
